BORIS / CTCFL antibody (pAb) tested by Western blot. Whole cell extract (10 µg per lane) from HEK293T cells transfected with either vector alone (lanes 1 and 3), with a FLAG-tagged human BORIS expression vector (lanes 2 and 4) or mouse testis nuclear extract (30 µg, lane 5) was probed with either BORIS / CTCFL antibody at 1:2,000 (lanes 1 and 2) or 1:500 (lane 5) or anti-FLAG tag (lanes 3 and 4).

Target Information
CTCFL is a paralog of CTCF and appears to be expressed primarily in the cytoplasm of spermatocytes. CTCFL is normally expressed in a mutually exclusive pattern that correlates with resetting of methylation marks during male germ cell differentiation.
