CD205 Antibody (PA5-106822) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of CD205 in A549 cells. The samples were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25°C. Samples were incubated with CD205 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-106822) and mouse anti-beta tubulin antibody for 1 hour at 37°C. An AlexaFluor594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG(H+L) (Red) and an AlexaFluor488 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG(H+L) (Green) were used as the secondary antibodies. The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue).

Target Information
CD205 (LY25, Lymphocyte Antigen 75) is an integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking and presentation that improves the induction of antigen-specific T cell immunity. CD205 is highly expressed by CD8+ dendritic cells (DCs) and also expressed at different levels by bone marrow Gr1+ cells, Langerhans cells, (BMDC) bone marrow derived DCs and thymic epithelial cells. CD205 acts as an endocytic receptor that directs captured antigens to the extracellular space towards a specialized antigen processing region. Further, CD205 also prompts the reduced proliferation of B lymphocytes. Diseases associated with CD205 dysfunction include pneumonic plague and lipid pneumonia.
