CIP29 Antibody (A303-209A) in IP
Detection of human CIP29 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-CIP29 antibody (Product # A303-209A) used for IP at 6 µg/mg lysate. CIP29 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-CIP29 antibody A303-210A, which recognizes a downstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated CIP29, A303-210A was used at 0.4 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Target Information
This gene encodes a protein that is upregulated in response to various cytokines. The encoded protein may play a role in cell cycle progression. A translocation between this gene and the myeloid/lymphoid leukemia gene, resulting in expression of a chimeric protein, has been associated with acute myelomonocytic leukemia. Pseudogenes exist on chromosomes 7 and 8. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
