          DJ-1 Antibody (MA5-29462) in ICC/IF

Immunofluorescence staining of Human DJ-1 in Hela cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with DJ-1 Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (7) (Product # MA5-29462, 1:60) at 37°C 1 hour. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor® 594-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (red) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Positive staining was localized to cytoplasm. {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. View more

          Product Specific Information

This product is preservative free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire.

This antibody has specificity for Human PARK7/DJ-1.

          Target Information

The product of this gene belongs to the peptidase C56 family of proteins. It acts as a positive regulator of androgen receptor-dependent transcription. It may also function as a redox-sensitive chaperone, as a sensor for oxidative stress, and it apparently protects neurons against oxidative stress and cell death. Defects in this gene are the cause of autosomal recessive early-onset Parkinson disease 7. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified for this gene.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
