Western blot analysis of EMX1 in mouse brain. Samples were incubated with EMX1 Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-95747) using a dilution of 1:800, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 60s.

EMX1 is a transcription factor, which in cooperation with EMX2. It acts to generate the boundary between the roof and archipallium in the developing brain. It may function in combinations with OTX1/2 to specify cell fates in the developing central nervous system.
