Immunofluorescent analysis of EOMES in DIV9 rat E18 primary hippocampal neuron cells. Cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min. Green: TBR2 / Eomes stained by TBR2 / Eomes polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-143445) diluted at 1:500. Red: beta Tubulin 3/ Tuj1, stained by beta Tubulin 3/ Tuj1 antibody [GT11710] diluted at 1:500. Blue: Fluoroshield with DAPI.

Target Information
TBR2 is a member of a conserved protein family that shares a common DNA-binding domain, the T-box. T-box genes encode transcription factors involved in the regulation of developmental processes. A similiar protein disrupted in mice is shown to be essential during trophoblast development and gastrulation. TBR2 plays a role in brain development and is required for the specification and the proliferation of the intermediate progenitor cells and their progeny in the cerebral cortex.
