Target Information
Equine Encephalitis Virus (EEV) is a single-stranded RNA virus that belongs to the family Togaviridae. The virus is transmitted by mosquitoes and can cause serious illness in horses and humans. EEV NSP2 is a non-structural protein that plays an essential role in viral replication and pathogenesis. It is a multifunctional protein that has been shown to have RNA helicase, RNA-binding, and methyltransferase activities. The NSP2 protein is highly conserved across different strains of EEV and is a promising target for the development of antiviral therapies.
