FASTKD1 Antibody (PA5-115209) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of FASTKD1 in Hela cells. The samples were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25°C. Samples were incubated with FASTKD1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-115209) and mouse anti-beta tubulin antibody for 1 hour at 37°C. An AlexaFluor594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG(H+L) (Red) and an AlexaFluor488 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG(H+L) (Green) were used as the secondary antibodies. The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue).

Target Information
As a member of the FASTKD family, FASTKD1 localizes to the mitochondria to modulate their energy balance, especially under conditions of stress. Though ubiquitously expressed in all tissues, FASTKD1 appears more abundantly in skeletal muscle, heart muscle, and other tissues enriched in mitochondria. FASTKD1 has been validated as an RNA-binding protein.
