GATA5 Antibody (PA5-47262) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of GATA5 in immersion fixed HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line. Samples were incubated in GATA5 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47262) using a dilution of 1.7 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature followed by NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (red) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to nuclei.

In direct ELISAs, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) GATA-1, rhGATA-2, rhGATA-3, rhGATA-4, and rhGATA-6 is observed.

Target Information
GATA binding factor 5 is a transcription regulator involved in embryonic development. In addition, the protein encoded by this gene contains two GATA-type zinc fingers and is known to bind to hepatocyte nuclear factor-1alpha (HNF-1alpha). This interaction is essential for cooperative activation of the intestinal lactase-phlorizin hydrolase promoter. GATA-5 may be involved in the establishment of cardiac smooth muscle cell diversity.
