Western blot analysis of HJURP in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with HJURP Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-116931) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 30s.

Target Information
Holliday junction recognition protein (HJURP) is a centromeric protein that plays a central role in the incorporation and maintenance of histone H3-like variant CENPA at centromeres. It acts as a specific chaperone for CENPA and is required for the incorporation of newly synthesized CENPA molecules into nucleosomes at replicated centromeres. HJURP prevents CENPA-H4 tetramerization and prevents premature DNA binding by the CENPA-H4 tetramer. It directly binds to Holliday junctions.
