Human HPRT shares 98.1% and 96.3% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat HPRT, respectively.
Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.
Positive Control - WB: human Hela whole cell, human Colo320 whole cell, human HepG2 whole cell, human 293T whole cell, rat brain tissue, rat spleen tissue, mouse brain tissue.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Target Information
The protein is a transferase, which catalyzes conversion of hypoxanthine to inosine monophosphate and guanine to guanosine monophosphate via transfer of the 5-phosphoribosyl group from 5-phosphoribosyl 1-pyrophosphate. This enzyme plays a central role in the generation of purine nucleotides through the purine salvage pathway.
