Western blot analysis of HSD17B3 using HSD17B3 antibody (Product # PA5-143917). Electrophoresis was performed on a 5-20% SDS-PAGE gel at 70V (Stacking gel) / 90V (Resolving gel) for 2-3 hours. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 30 µg of sample under reducing conditions. Adding 0.2 mL of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.
Positive Control - WB: human U20S whole cell, human HEL whole cell, rat testis tissue, rat liver tissue, mouse liver tissue, mouse RAW2647 whole cell. Flow: HepG2 cell.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Target Information
This isoform of 17 beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase is expressed predominantly in the testis and catalyzes the conversion of androstenedione to testosterone. It preferentially uses NADP as cofactor. Deficiency can result in male pseudohermaphroditism with gynecomastia.
