An antibody of unknown specificity that maybe used as a negative control.
Human F(ab) refers to a specific fragment of an antibody derived from humans, known as the F(ab) fragment. Antibodies, also called immunoglobulins, are proteins produced by the immune system in response to foreign substances or pathogens. The F(ab) fragment is generated by enzymatic cleavage of the antibody molecule, specifically targeting the hinge region that connects the Fab and Fc regions. This cleavage results in the separation of the Fc portion, leaving behind the F(ab) fragment. The F(ab) fragment retains the antigen-binding regions of the antibody (Fab), allowing it to specifically recognize and bind to its target antigen.
