          ILK Antibody (PA5-95352) in WB

Western blot was performed using Anti-ILK Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-95352) and a 51 kDa band corresponding to Integrin-linked protein kinase was observed across cell lines and tissues along with uncharacterized bands (*) at ~35 kDa and ~70 kDa. Whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of MDA-MB-231 (Lane 1), HeLa (Lane 2), Daudi (Lane 3), T-47D (Lane 4), PC-3 (Lane 5), LNCaP (Lane 6), NIH/3T3 (Lane 7), PC-12 (Lane 8), Mouse Lung (Lane 9) and Rat Lung (Lane 10) were electrophoresed using NuPAGE™ 4-12% Bis-Tris Protein Gel (Product # ... Product Specific Information

Human Integrin linked ILK shares 99.5% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with both mouse and rat Integrin linked ILK.

Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.

Positive Control - WB: rat lung tissue, mouse liver tissue, HELA whole cell.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

          Target Information

Transduction of extracellular matrix signals through integrins influences intracellular and extracellular functions, and appears to require interaction of integrin cytoplasmic domains with cellular proteins. Integrin-linked kinase (ILK), interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of beta-1 integrin. This gene encodes a serine/threonine protein kinase with 4 ankyrin-like repeats, which associates with the cytoplasmic domain of beta integrins and acts as a proximal receptor kinase regulating integrin-mediated signal transduction. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
