PLS3 Antibody (MA5-27772) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescence analysis of Plastin-3 was performed using 70% confluent log phase HeLa cells. The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton™ X-100 for 15 minutes, and blocked with 2% BSA for 45 minutes at room temperature. Target Information
Phospholipid scramblases (PLS) translocate phospholipids bidirectionally between inner and outer leaflets of the plasma membrane and are implicated in apoptosis (1,2). Members of this family, PLS1 and PLS3 are both substrates of Protein kinase C (PKC) delta and are phosphorylated by PKC-delta during apoptosis. PKC-delta translocates to mitochondria during apoptosis and phosphorylates PLS3. Overexpression of PLS3 in the HEK293 cells enhanced apoptosis induced by UV-irradiation.
