Reconstitute the lyophilized powder with deionized water (or equivalent) to a final concentration of 0.5 mg/mL.
The lyophilized product remains stable up to 1 year at -20 °C from date of receipt. Upon reconstitution, it can be stored for 2-3 weeks at 2-8 °C or for up to 12 months at -20 °C or below. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
Target Information
Palivizumab with trade name Synagis, is an FDA-approved drug for the prevention of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections. It is a recombinant humanized IgG1 kappa isotype monoclonal antibody. Palivizumab binds the RSV envelope fusion protein (RSV F) on the surface of the virus and blocking a critical step in the membrane fusion process.
