Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20° C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Anti-Desmoplakin pS2849 is directed against the phosphorylated form of the S2849 human residue. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with mouse and human based on 100% sequence homology. Cross-reactivity with Desmoplakin pS2849 from other sources has not been determined.
Target Information
Desmoplakin (DSP) is a major high molecular weight protein of the desmosomes. It is involved in the organization of the desmosomal cadherin-plakoglobin complexes into discrete plasma membrane domains and in the anchoring of intermediate filaments to the desmosomes. Desmoplakin mutations are associated with Keratoderma and cardiomyopathy.
