This antibody was cross-adsorbed to unphosphorylated alpha6-Tubulin (a.a. 160-169) peptide before affinity purification using alpha6-Tubulin (Ser-165) peptide (without carrier). The antibody detects a 50 kDa* protein corresponding to the molecular mass of alpha-Tubulin on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of recombinant a1-tubulin phosphorylated with PKCalpha. This reactivity is not observed after lambda phosphatase treatment.
TUBA1C (Tubulin Alpha 1c) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with TUBA1C include Distal Hereditary Motor Neuropathy, Type Ii. Among its related pathways are Development Slit-Robo signaling and Gap junction. Gene Ontology (GO) annotations related to this gene include GTP binding and structural molecule activity. An important paralog of this gene is TUBA1B.
