Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin-embedded Phospho-eIF2b epsilon (Ser540) in mouse kidney tissue sections. Antigen retrieval was performed using citrate buffer. Samples were blocked with blocking buffer (1.5 hr, 22°C), incubated with Phospho-eIF2b epsilon (Ser540) polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-105932) using a dilution of 1:200 (1.5 hr, 22°C), followed by HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit.

Target Information
This gene encodes one of five subunits of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2B, a GTP exchange factor for eukaryotic initiation factor 2 and an essential regulator for protein synthesis. Mutations in this gene and the genes encoding other EIF2B subunits have been associated with leukoencephalopathy with vanishing white matter.
