Store vial at -20° C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This antibody is specific for human p90 RSK1 protein phosphorylated at S732. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross reactivity with p90 RSK1 from human, rat, mouse, horse, bovine, and dog based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Partially cross reactivity may occur against opossum and chicken based on >90% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross reactivity with p90 RSK1 pS732 from other sources has not been determined.
RPS6KA1 (RSK1) is a growth-factor regulated serine/threonine kinase that is involved in the MAPK cascade. It is thought to control cellular proliferation and differentiation through the phosphorylation of transcription factors. RPS6KA1 contains 2 nonidentical kinase catalytic domains and phosphorylates various substrates, including members of the mitogen-activated kinase (MAPK) signalling pathway. The activity of this protein has been implicated in controlling cell growth and differentiation. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.
