RSV NS1 is a gene target that is found in respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), a common cause of respiratory infections in infants and young children. NS1 is a non-structural protein that plays a key role in the replication of the virus, and is therefore a potential target for antiviral drugs. The NS1 protein interacts with host cell proteins and interferes with the host immune response, making it difficult for the body to fight off the virus. Studies have shown that targeting NS1 can reduce viral replication and improve outcomes in animal models of RSV infection.
