          Western blot analysis of Retinoid X Receptor alpha/RXRA using Retinoid X Receptor alpha/RXRA antibody (Product # MA5-49193). Electrophoresis was performed on a 5-20% SDS-PAGE gel at 70V (Stacking gel) / 90V (Resolving gel) for 2-3 hours. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 50 µg of sample under reducing conditions.           Adding 0.2 mL of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.

          Positive Control - WB: human Hela whole cell, human A549 whole cell, human HepG2 whole cell, human Caco-2 whole cell, human HL-60 whole cell, rat liver tissue, mouse liver tissue. Flow: A549 cell, CACO-2 cell.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

          Target Information

          Retinoic Acid (RA; active metabolite of vitamin A) plays a prominent role in regulating the transition of proliferating precursor cells (such as carcinoma cells and neuronal precursors) to postmitotic differentiated cells. The Retinoid X Receptors (RXRs) family (RXR alpha, beta, and gamma), preferentially bind 9-cis -RA and regulate gene transcription by forming heterodimers with a second family of RA receptors. RAs have been suggested to potentially play a therapeutic role in cervical cancer. RAs are known to play key roles in neuronal development and an increasing body of evidence indicates that retinoid signaling may regulate synaptic plasticity and associated learning and memory behaviors.
