MA1-030 detects Spi2A in human, mouse and hamster samples.
MA1-030 has been used successfully in Western blot, ICC/IF and ELISA procedures. By Western blot this antibody detects a ~49 kDa band representing the Spi2A protein.
The MA1-030 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues N(418) P E R S M N
F P N G E G A S S Q R L C(436) of hamster Spi2A protein.
Serine protease inhibitor 2A, or Serpin 2A (spi2A), inhibits lysosomal executioner proteases, thus enhancing the survival of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and allowing them to develop into memory CD8 T cells. Through its function of preserving T cells, spi2A has become a research target for such topics as immunity, tumor cell, and AIDS research.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
