SLIRP Antibody (PA5-115923) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of SLIRP in HepG2 cells. Samples were treated with PFA, permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, blocked in 10% serum (45 min at 25°C), and incubated with polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-115923) at a dilution of 1:200 (1 hr at 37°C). Secondary staining was applied with mouse anti-beta tubulin; AlexaFluor 594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (Red); AlexaFluor 88 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG (Green) and DAPI (blue) using a dilution of 1:200 (1 hr at 37°C).

Antibody detects endogenous levels of total SLIRP.
Target Information
SLIRP (SRA stem-loop interacting RNA binding protein) is expressed in normal and tumor tissues, but the majority of the endogenous SLIRP resides in the mitochondria. SLIRP may regulate mitochondrial functions and has the potential to shut down estrogen in breast cancer cells and testosterone in prostate cancer cells. SLIRP has also been shown to turn down genes involved in energy metabolism.
