          SUZ12 Antibody (MA5-11188) in ICC/IF

Immunofluorescence analysis of SUZ12 was performed using 70% confluent log phase HeLa cells. The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton™ X-100 for 15 minutes, and blocked with 2% BSA for 45 minutes at room temperature. The cells were labeled with SUZ12 Monoclonal Antibody (K.6.9) (Product # MA5-11188) at 1:800 dilution in 0.1% BSA, incubated at 4-degree Celsius overnight and then labeled with Donkey anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) Highly Cross-Adsorbed Secondary Antibody, Alexa Fluor Plus 488 (Produc... Target Information

SUZ12 (polycomb protein SUZ12) is a zinc finger gene and has been identified at the breakpoints of a recurrent chromosomal translocation reported in endometrial stromal sarcoma. Recombination of these breakpoints results in the fusion of this gene and JAZF1. SUZ12 is also a component of the PRC2/EED-EZH2 complex which methylates Lys-9 (H3K9me) and Lys-27 (H3K27me) of histone H3 leading to transcriptional repression of the affected target gene. The protein encoded by this gene contains a zinc finger domain in the C terminus of the coding region.
