Syndecan 2 Antibody (PA5-47855) in IHC (F)
Immunohistochemical analysis of Syndecan 2 in perfusion fixed frozen sections of mouse spinal cord. Samples were incubated with Syndecan 2 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47855) using a dilution of 1.7 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C followed by NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (red) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to the dorsal horn.

In direct ELISAs, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Syndecan-2 is observed.
Reconstitute in sterile PBS to a final concentration of 0.2 mg/mL.
Target Information
Syndecans are heparan sulfate proteoglycans (HSPGs) that are involved in cell adhesion, tissue morphogenesis, differentiation, and act as low affinity co-receptors of soluble growth factors. It is involved in the mitogenic activity and signaling of Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-stimulating factor in osteoblasts, and has been shown to have a regulatory role in matrix assembly. Syndecan-2 is expressed at epithelial-mesenchymal interfaces, and prechondrogenic and preosteogenic mesenchymal condensations, which are areas of high morphogenetic activity.
