TGFBI Antibody (PA5-47346) in IHC (F)
Immunohistochemical analysis of TGFBI in immersion fixed frozen sections of mouse embryo (13 d.p.c.). Samples were incubated in TGFBI polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47346) using a dilution of 5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Tissue was stained using the Anti-Goat HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to developing duodenum.

In sandwich ELISAs, less than 6% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) beta IG-H3 is observed.

Target Information
This gene encodes an RGD-containing protein that binds to type I, II and IV collagens. The RGD motif is found in many extracellular matrix proteins modulating cell adhesion and serves as a ligand recognition sequence for several integrins. This protein plays a role in cell-collagen interactions and may be involved in endochondrial bone formation in cartilage. The protein is induced by transforming growth factor-beta and acts to inhibit cell adhesion. Mutations in this gene are associated with multiple types of corneal dystrophy.
