Immunocytochemistry analysis of Topoisomerase I using anti-Topoisomerase I antibody (Product # PA5-80174) . Topoisomerase I was detected in a section of HeLa cells. Enzyme antigen retrieval was performed using IHC enzyme antigen retrieval reagent for 15 mins. The cells were blocked with 10% goat serum and then incubated with 2μg/mL rabbit anti-Topoisomerase I antibody (Product # PA5-80174) overnight at 4°C. Target Information
This gene encodes a DNA topoisomerase, an enzyme that controls and alters the topologic states of DNA during transcription. This enzyme catalyzes the transient breaking and rejoining of a single strand of DNA which allows the strands to pass through one another, thus altering the topology of DNA. This gene is localized to chromosome 20 and has pseudogenes which reside on chromosomes 1 and 22.
