TRPM2 Antibody (PA5-142396) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry-Immunofluorescence analysis of TRPM2 in A431 cells using TRPM2 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-142396). Cells were fixed with paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.15% Triton, and incubated with the primary antibody for 1hr (10 µg/mL) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/mL), showing nuclear membrane and cytoplasmic staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Negative control: Unimmunized goat IgG (10 µg/mL) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/mL).

Target Information
TRPM2 belongs to the ion transport protein family which includes Sodium, Potassium, Calcium ion channels. This family is characterized by proteins possessing 6 transmembrane helices in which the last two helices flank a loop which determines ion selectivity. TRPM2 is activated by oxidative stress and confers susceptibility to cell death. Further, TRPM2 is a calcium-permeable cation channel that is regulated by free intracellular ADP-ribose. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of the TRPM2 gene have been described, but their full-length nature is not known.
