          VEGF-164 Antibody (MA5-23769) in WB

          Western blot was performed using Anti-VEGF Monoclonal Antibody (123704) (Product # MA5-23769) and 37 and 40 kDa bands corresponding to VEGF were observed. Tissue extracts (30 µg lysate) of Rat Skeletal Muscle (Lane 1), Rat Heart (Lane 2) and Recombinant VEGF protein, 250 ng (Lane 3) were electrophoresed using NuPAGE™ 4-12% Bis-Tris Protein Gel (Product # NP0322BOX).           Product Specific Information

          This antibody shows 50-100% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse (rm) VEGF120, rmVEGF164, recombinant human (rh) VEGF121, rhVEGF165, and rhVEGF189 and no cross-reactivity with rmVEGF115. This antibody recognizes an epitope found between amino acids 78-120 of rmVEGF120. This segment is present in all VEGF isoforms except rmVEGF115.

          Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

          Endoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.

          Target Information

          VEGF-164 is a gene target that encodes for the vascular endothelial growth factor. This protein is responsible for promoting angiogenesis. VEGF-164 has been shown to be involved in the development of various diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular disease, and diabetic retinopathy. Targeting this gene has become an important strategy in the development of new therapeutics for these conditions.
