HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY ZC3H8 (RC204522, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 µg per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-ZC3H8. Positive lysates LY410072 (100 µg) and LC410072 (20 µg) can be purchased separately from OriGene.

Target Information
Zinc-finger CCCH domain-containing protein 8 (ZC3H8) acts as a transcriptional repressor of the GATA3 promoter. It is a sequence-specific DNA-binding factor that binds to the 5'-AGGTCTC-3' sequence within the negative cis-acting element intronic regulatory region (IRR) of the GATA3 gene. ZC3H8 induces thymocyte apoptosis when overexpressed, which may indicate a role in regulation of thymocyte homeostasis.
