Simplified method transfer to scale up quickly
Transferring methods between systems and labs can be a challenging and time-consuming task, but it shouldn’t keep you from upgrading to the latest scientific instrumentation. All of our Vanquish HPLC or UHPLC systems have built-in features that help to streamline and simplify method transfer.
These features include adjustable system gradient delay volume, multiple column heating modes and automated sample in-needle dilution, all of which are easily adjusted in the Chromeleon CDS software interface. This allows you to duplicate other HPLC or UHPLC vendor’s system settings enabling methods to be replicated more easily.

Our Vanquish LC platform has a modular system configuration with a variety of pumps that run up to 1500 bar as well as a wide selection of autosamplers and detectors. This modularity gives it the flexibility to accommodate all HPLC and UHPLC applications.
In addition, our Chromeleon CDS software allows for seamless control of all system components. Built-in safeguards, such as automated system health checks and troubleshooting videos, help reduce system downtime. It also includes features such as customizable injection programs that significantly improve the user experience.
Software integration with intuitive instrument software for easy control and data processing
Chromeleon CDS seamlessly controls all Vanquish HPLC or UHPLC systems as well as instrumentation from other vendors. This allows you to streamline your LC workflows through compliant and efficient control of your chromatography instruments and mass detectors, simplifying your informatics infrastructure with a single software.
If you are currently unable to change your CDS software, we offer software plugins that allow you to control selected Thermo Scientific chromatography instruments with another vendor's software, including:

Eligible systems
Most HPLC or UHPLC systems are eligible for a credit. Eligible systems:
- Other vendor systems such as Agilent™, Shimadzu™, Waters™ and more
- Dionex Summit HPLC systems
- Thermo Scientific Accela LC systems
- Thermo Finnigan Surveyor HPLC systems
- Thermo Scientific UltiMate 3000 systems
- Thermo Scientific GC or IC systems
Please note that the HPLC or UHPLC system must include at least a pump, autosampler and column compartment to be eligible. Stand-alone detectors, for instance, are not eligible.
The amount of savings will be dependent on type, age and condition of existing system.
FAQs
The value of your current HPLC or UHPLC system will be evaluated by trained Thermo Fisher Scientific personnel based on type of instrument, age and condition. We’ll ask you some questions on the history of your system in order to provide an accurate estimate on its value.
We are no longer removing used systems for the lab as part of the program. Your system will be used to determine eligibility and the credit value toward your new instrument purchase. You can then keep or dispose of your used system at your discretion.
Transferring your methods between systems and labs is made easier with our Vanquish LC system technology.
Built-in features of select systems can help facilitate your method transfer AND fine-tune your separations:
