Viral Production Medium

Gibco Viral Production Medium is a chemically defined, serum-free, protein-free medium, that is animal origin-free and specially developed for growth and transfection of Viral Production Cells 2.0 (suspension-adapted HEK 293F-derived cells) for adeno-associated virus (AAV) production as part of the AAV-MAX Helper-Free AAV Production System.

Features of Viral Production Medium include:
• Supports growth of suspension Viral Production Cells 2.0 to densities of over 1.2 x 10⁷ cells/mL
• Enables production of high AAV titers, greater than 5 x 10¹⁰ vg/mL (unpurified)
• Supports growth and transfection of Viral Production Cells 2.0 from shake flask to bioreactor scales

Viral Production Medium requires supplementation with 4 mM GlutaMAX Supplement (Cat. No. 35050038) prior to use.
