BODIPY™ 505/515 (4,4-Difluoro-1,3,5,7-Tetramethyl-4-Bora-3a,4a-Diaza-s-Indacene)

With its nonpolar structure and long-wavelength absorption and fluorescence, BODIPY™ 505/515 can be used as a stain for netural lipids and as a tracer for oil and other nonpolar lipids.

To make a concentrated stock solution from 1–5 mM, dissolve in either high quality anhydrous DMSO or 100% ethanol. Store frozen, desiccated and protected from light.
