NuPAGE Tris-Acetate SDS Running Buffer (20X) is formulated for separation of proteins in their denatured state on Tris-Acetate gels. NuPAGE Tris-Acetate gels provide excellent separation of large molecular weight proteins when used with NuPAGE Tris-Acetate SDS Running Buffer. NuPAGE Tris-Acetate gels can also be run with Novex Tris-Glycine Native Running Buffer to resolve native proteins more effectively than with the Tris-Glycine gel system.
Recommended buffers Run NuPAGE Tris-Acetate gels with NuPAGE Tris-Acetate SDS Running Buffer and to ensure good sample reduction and band resolution, use NuPAGE LDS Sample Buffer. For native running conditions, the Tris-Glycine Native running and sample buffers should be used.

Our precast protein gels do not contain SDS but they can be run under denaturing conditions when used with the appropriate denaturing running buffer.
Note: NuPAGE Bis-Tris gels, Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels, and Thermo Scientific Precise Tris-HEPES gels cannot be run under native conditions; they can only be run under denaturing conditions.
