Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (100%), Rat (100%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-61057. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
ADAMTSL2, or A Disintegrin And Metalloproteinase with Thrombospondin Motifs Like 2, is a gene that codes for a secreted glycoprotein involved in the regulation of extracellular matrix (ECM) and associated proteases. The gene, initially identified by the Kazusa DNA Research Institute, plays a crucial role in various biological processes including ECM remodeling. Mutations or alterations in ADAMTSL2 are implicated in multiple diseases, including genetic disorders like geleophysic dysplasia and cancer. Its expression levels and genetic variants have been correlated with cancer progression, immune cell infiltration in tumors, and other pathological conditions like non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). ADAMTSL2 is a potential biomarker for disease prognosis and therapeutic targeting due to its significant role in ECM dynamics and disease pathology.
