Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (74%), Rat (74%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-52987. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
ANKK1 serine/threonine kinase is a member of the RIPK family and is closely linked to the DRD2 gene. ANKK1 is closely linked to DRD2 gene on chr 11, and a well studied restriction fragment length polymorphism designated TaqIA, was originally associated with the DRD2 gene, however, later was determined to be located in exon 8 of ANKK1 gene, where it causes a nonconservative amino acid substitution. It is not clear if ANKK1 plays any role in neuropsychiatric disorders previously associated with Taq1A RFLP.
