This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-66021. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Target Information
Rho GTPase activating protein 5 negatively regulates RHO GTPases, a family which may mediate cytoskeleton changes by stimulating the hydrolysis of bound GTP. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. GTPase-activating protein for Rho family members. May play a role in the reduction of the p21rasGTPase-activating potential of RASA1/p120GAP.
