Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (79%), Rat (79%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-63588. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
CCDC105 (Coiled-Coil Domain-Containing 105) is a gene that encodes a protein involved in various cellular processes, primarily associated with the structure and function of centrioles and cilia. The CCDC105 protein contains coiled-coil domains that facilitate protein-protein interactions, crucial for the assembly and stabilization of microtubule structures within cells. Studies indicate that CCDC105 plays a key role in ciliogenesis, the process by which cells form cilia, which are essential for cell motility, fluid movement, and signal transduction. Dysregulation or mutations in CCDC105 have been implicated in ciliopathies, a group of disorders arising from defective cilia, leading to symptoms such as respiratory issues, kidney disease, and developmental abnormalities. Research continues to explore the specific molecular mechanisms by which CCDC105 influences ciliary dynamics and its broader implications in human health and disease.
