Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (97%), Rat (97%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-67055. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
CNOT7 (CCR4-NOT transcription complex subunit 7) has 3'-5' poly(A) exoribonuclease activity for synthetic poly(A) RNA substrate. Its function seems to be partially redundant with that of CNOT8. CNOT7 is a catalytic component of the CCR4-NOT complex, which is one of the major cellular mRNA deadenylases, and is linked to various cellular processes including bulk mRNA degradation, miRNA-mediated repression, translational repression during translational initiation, and general transcription regulation. During miRNA-mediated repression, the complex seems to act as a transcriptional repressor during translational initiation, as well. Additional complex functions may be a consequence of its influence on mRNA expression. CNOT7 associates with members of the BTG family such as TOB1 and BTG2 and is required for their anti-proliferative activity.
