This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-84486. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Target Information

CTRP2, also known as adiponectin C1q and collagen domain-containing protein 2, is a protein that belongs to the C1q/TNF-related protein family. It is expressed in various tissues, including adipose tissue, skeletal muscle, and the heart, and is involved in the regulation of energy metabolism and insulin sensitivity. CTRP2 has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and cardioprotective effects.
