This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-66662. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
FAM50B contains an intronless ORF that arose from ancestral retroposition. The encoded protein is related to a plant protein that plays a role in the circadian clock. FAM50B is adjacent to a differentially methylated region (DMR) and is imprinted and paternally expressed in many tissues.
