Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (27%), Rat (27%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-58816. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
The GLYATL1 gene, also known as Glycine-N-Acyltransferase Like 1, is located on chromosome 11q12.1. This gene encodes a member of the glycine-N-acyltransferase family, which is involved in the detoxification pathway by catalyzing the conjugation of acyl-CoA substrates with glycine. The protein encoded by GLYATL1 is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum and is implicated in various cellular processes, including xenobiotic metabolism and mitochondrial glutamine metabolism. Studies have shown that the expression levels of GLYATL1 are significantly associated with cancer prognosis. For example, decreased expression of GLYATL1 has been linked to poor prognosis in patients with clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Furthermore, differential expression analysis has identified GLYATL1 as a potential biomarker in prostate cancer, suggesting its utility in cancer diagnostics and treatment strategies. The gene comprises multiple exons and undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in various transcript variants.
