Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (89%), Rat (89%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-57900. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
G-rich sequence factor 1 (GRSF1) is a regulator of post-transcriptional mitochondrial gene expression. It required for assembly of the mitochondrial ribosome and for recruitment of mRNS and IncRNA. GRSF1 binds RNAs containing the 14 base G-rich element. It preferentially binds RNAs transcribed from three contiguous genes on the light strand of mtDNA, the ND6 mRNA, and the long non-coding RNAs for MT-CYB and MT-NDS - each of which contains multiple consensus binding sequences.
