Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (28%), Rat (28%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-63509. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
GNLY is a member of the saposin-like protein (SAPLIP) family and is located in the cytotoxic granules of T cells, which are released upon antigen stimulation. GNLY is present in cytotoxic granules of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells, and it has antimicrobial activity against M. tuberculosis and other organisms.
