This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-56772. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

KIAA1429 is required for N6-methyladenosine (m6A) methylation of mRNAs, a modification that plays a role in the efficiency of mRNA splicing and processing. It is also Involved in mRNA splicing regulation, probably via its function in m6A methylation. Diseases associated with KIAA1429 include Retinitis Pigmentosa 42.
