Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (84%), Rat (84%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-62428. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Involved in glycoprotein quality control targeting of misfolded glycoproteins for degradation. It primarily trims a single alpha-1,2-linked mannose residue from Man9GlcNAc2 to produce Man8GlcNAc2, but at high enzyme concentrations, as found in the ER quality control compartment (ERQC), it further trims the carbohydrates to Man5-6GlcNAc2.
