Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (82%), Rat (82%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-145116. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
MCTP1 belongs to the MCTP family. It contains 3 C2 domains. MCTP1 is a multi-pass membrane protein. It binds calcium via the C2 domains in absence of phospholipids. The function of MCTP1 remains unknown.
