This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibodies, PA5-139758, PA5-59958. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Target Information
MFAP1 is a component of the elastin-associated microfibrils. Microfibrils, found either in association with elastin or independently, are an important component of the extracellular matrix of many tissues. MFAP1 is one of a number of proteins demonstrated to be essential for cell division.
