Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (71%), Rat (71%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-110639. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Neuroligin-4, X linked (also known as NLGN4X, NLGN4, Neuroligin-4, and Neuroligin 4X) is a postsynaptic cell-adhesion molecule that interacts with presynaptic cell-surface neurexins. These interactions bridge together the synaptic cleft and have an essential role in synaptic transmissions between neurons. There are 5 neuroligin genes in humans: NLGN1, NLGN2, NLGN3, NLGN4X, and NLGN4Y. Mutations in NLGN3 and NLGN4X are linked to Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The expression of neuroligin-4, X-linked has been reported on human pluripotent stem cells.
